These terms cover any work Kestrel Studio ("we") does for you. They're written to be read. Your written project agreement adds the specifics for your project; if the two ever disagree, the agreement wins.

The free homepage

If we redesign your homepage for free, you're under no obligation. If you don't want to go ahead, we take it down within 30 days. Nothing we show you is published under your name without your OK.

The preview is shared as a link only. Its design and code stay ours until you buy, so please don't copy or rebuild it elsewhere.

Payment

Prices are listed on our site and confirmed in your agreement before work starts. The agreement sets out when payments are due. Care is billed monthly and you can cancel any time; it ends at the end of the month you've paid for.

What you own

Once a project is paid in full, the site, its content and its design are yours. Your domain and accounts are always in your name. Photos, fonts and tools from third parties stay under their own licenses, which we'll make sure cover your use.

We may show your site in our portfolio. Tell us if you'd rather we didn't.

Your accounts and access

• We never ask for your passwords. You give us access by adding us as a manager, team member or delegate on each service, and you can remove us at any time.
• We only use access to do the work you asked for.
• When a project ends or you cancel Care, we remove our own access and confirm it with you.

Revisions and scope

Your agreement lists what's included and how many rounds of changes. Larger additions, such as an online store, are quoted separately before we start them.

Other costs

Your domain, business email and any paid tools you choose are billed to you directly by those providers. We tell you about them upfront.

Things outside our control

Sites depend on outside services like hosting, booking and payment providers. We're not responsible for their outages or changes, but we'll help you deal with them. Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the work involved.
